Dance Company Yoldance

Yoldance was founded in Havana on January 15, 1999, by Yolena Alonso,who developed a very special style blending the roots of the Afro-Cuban culture and contemporary dance technique in outstanding musical shows.The dancers, all graduated from prestigious Cuban art academies, are a potential of high artistic standards, which versatility allows them to face with accuracy and elegance the most innovative choreographies.

The company has toured to Europe, Asia and America, with a varied repertoire earning international praise due to the performance skills, the strength of interpretation typical of the Cuban dance school and the magnificence of the visual design.

The excellence and the power of music, often live in Yoldance’s productions is a significant contribution by Yolena Alonso, granddaughter of Pacho Alonso, great legend of the Cuban music, and daughter of Pachito Alonso, the director of one of the most popular orchestras of the country. 

Cuban and universal, Yoldance is open to the rich heritage of the dance.

Orquestra Pachito Alonso

PACHITO ALONSO and his orquestra, the „kini kinis“ , is one of the most popular Cuban salsa stars. He is the son of the legendary bolero singer PACHO ALONSO, celebrated in all Latin-America during 60’s and 70’s. He also wrote the main part of the songs for the show.
